- Hands On Storytelling -
Storytelling that strikes the imagination, such as puppetry or mime, have always been an effective and entertaining way to share wonderful stories. An additional benefit is learning another language! Available as entertainment or "guest speaker" at an event or workshop.
- Literacy through ASL Program - FREE!
Sponsored by Imagine Arts, a non-profit agency that supports performers with disabilities, Theron Parker is available to give free sessions at up to 25 Schools throughout the Austin area. Presentations are two hours long and focuses on literacy through the use of ASL. Each presentation begins with Theron signing and gesturing a story from a pre-selected book (see book list). Bookings are made on a first-come, first-serve basis. See Theron's schedule for available free workshops.
- Visiting Teacher -
Popular at pre-Schools and after School programs, Theron is available to come, tell a story in ASL, then teach children basic ASL signs. Visits may be scheduled on a regular recurring basis, either weekly or monthly.
- ASL Teaching Instruction -
As a veteran in teaching adults and children ASL, both professionally and personally, Theron is available to give some basic tips and pointers on how to most effectively teach ASL to children.
